"I built Forge because South Carolina players deserve the same standard that shaped me as a Long Island athlete, college All-American, captain, and defensive MVP. That level of coaching is now here."— Doug Steele
Multi-Year All-American · Founder
All-American Instruction.
Built for This Region.
Forge is led by Doug Steele, a Long Island-raised lacrosse and football captain who started on varsity from 9th through 12th grade in both sports before becoming a multi-year All-American lacrosse player, four-year captain, and four-time Defensive MVP at Sacred Heart University.
Lacrosse is the fastest-growing sport in the Southeast — but elite-level technical instruction hasn't kept pace. Forge was founded to close that gap, bringing the same caliber of position-specific coaching that produces dominant lacrosse athletes directly to South Carolina.
Forge is built as an athlete-development system — not a random collection of drills. Every program connects fundamentals, position-specific coaching, lacrosse IQ, and game-speed execution so players know exactly what they are building and why it matters.
Every session is built around intentional reps, real-time correction, and a high-accountability environment that accelerates development. You don't improve by going through the motions — you improve when every rep has a standard.
No generic workouts. No wasted reps. Just coaching that works — from K–6 first-timers to players chasing a next level.

Train With a Method. Measure With a Score.
Forge is not random drills or generic reps. Every athlete moves through a clear development system: build position-specific fundamentals, apply them at game speed, compete under pressure, and track what improves. Parents get a clearer picture. Players get a sharper plan.

Forge Method
A repeatable coaching model that builds mechanics, footwork, IQ, toughness, and game-transfer execution one training block at a time.
Forge Score
A practical player snapshot that shows where the athlete stands today, what needs work next, and how training should be adjusted.
Exclusive performance training alliance: Forge performance training is now powered in partnership with D1 Training Greenville.
The First Step Is Clarity
Forge starts by helping athletes and families understand where the player is now, what matters most next, and how training should be prioritized.
Review the Player
Skill level, position needs, confidence, goals, and current training habits.
Identify Priorities
Clear development focus instead of random drills or generic sessions.
Build the Plan
Next-step recommendations tied to Forge Method, Forge Score, and program fit.

See Progress. Track the Rating.
Every Forge athlete should be able to see where they stand, what is improving, and what needs attention next. The Forge Score turns training feedback into a simple development snapshot athletes can use for goal-setting, parent conversations, and recruiting preparation.
A strong all-around profile with clear upward momentum. The next emphasis is athletic movement and technical polish under pressure, which are easy talking points for the athlete’s next development plan.
